Gassed in Ypres, Belgium. Pte. Regimental No. 10110 Yorkshire Hussars (Alexandra, Princess of Wales' Own) 2nd Battalion also Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards). His war gratuity went to his mother, Mary Elizabeth.

Birth listed in Stockport Q4 1893 Volume 8a Page 7 (?)

May have been born in Scarborough (according to "Find a Grave" website, which also suggests that his parents lived at 137 Leeds Road Ilkley at the time of his death. (I think they may have moved there from Scarborough following the sea attack on Scarborough in December 1914.)

Buried in the Railway Dugouts cemetery, Ypres, Arrondissement Leper, West Flanders, Belgium.
